Inhalte: Platforms are becoming increasingly important in the economy. Alphabet, Meta and Alibaba are famous examples of platforms that have a high market dominance with their products and services. Recently, there are approaches to the conception of decentralized-cooperatively organized platforms, on which numerous medium-sized and small players join together to exchange data with each other and in turn create promising products and services that challenge the market power of the established platform corporations. It will be investigated how these decentralized platforms can be made structural-integer, which means that a secure, durable and profitable operation can be ensured.
Lernziele: Students will learn the following: - What the key economic characteristics of platforms are and how they work - They will learn how decentralized platforms work in contrast to traditional platforms - They will be empowered to think about how decentralized platforms can be improved in terms of ensuring structural integrity - They will gain insights into concrete projects in the context of decentralized platforms - They will gain insights into the characteristics of the future technology of Artificial Intelligence and how it can be further developed.
