Inhalte:
The seminar provides participants with valuable insights and practical guidance on conducting expert interviews as a qualitative research method in the social sciences. This seminar aims to equip students and researchers with the necessary skills to effectively design, execute, and analyze expert interviews for generating rich and nuanced qualitative data.
Expert interviews offer a unique opportunity to gather in-depth knowledge and perspectives from individuals who possess specialized expertise in a particular field or topic. This seminar will explore the theoretical foundations and methodological considerations underlying expert interviews, helping participants understand when and why this method is appropriate for their research projects.
 
Key topics covered in the seminar include:
-          Designing Expert Interview Studies: Exploring the different stages of expert interview research, including formulating research questions, selecting participants, and determining interview formats.
-          Conducting Expert Interviews: Examining best practices for conducting interviews, including establishing rapport, developing interview guides, probing for detailed responses, and managing ethical considerations.
-          Data Analysis and Interpretation: Introducing techniques for analyzing and interpreting qualitative data obtained from expert interviews, such as thematic analysis, content analysis, and coding frameworks.
