Inhalte:
Communication in the context of signs and symbols as well as communication in the context of interpersonal communication and the mass media form the starting point and subject of our treatment of basic theories and methods of the communication science.
Discussed and treated are on the basis of case studies the basic questions of interpersonal, social and media communication, and the analysis of changes in mass communication and the media public sphere or public communication.
 

Lernziele:
The seminar provides basic knowledge of communication concepts
and theories of communication and gives an overview of the structures and dynamics of communication in different areas of culture and society, in particular within the context of the change of mass communication through digital media.

Weitere Informationen zu den Prüfungsleistungen:
Prerequisite for the written examination (term paper with a length of
25,000 characters) is the regular and active participation in the seminar together with the
presentation of a short introduction paper about one of the texts of a seminar sessions.
