Inhalte:
The mobility industry seminar addresses the transport policy, transport actors and management for both passengers transport and freight transport, with a special focus on sustainability, German-French comparison and the links with the European transport policy . The focal points of the event are:
1) Framework of the mobility markets mechanism and the European transport policy back-office.
2) Sustainability, externalities of transport and innovation (digitalization of Mobility Markets)
3) Passenger transport:
- Railway transport: economics of railway operators, competition in high speed train market in Europe, tendering in regional railway transport, short railway lines revitalization
- Public transport and financing in metropolitan areas
- Long distance coach transport and profitability
4) Freight transport
- Port-Corridor-Hinterland strategies in Europe
- Harbor management and competitiveness of European ports : case studies
- Trucking sectors
Some case Studies in Europe will be presented
Lernziele:
The students gain a deeper understanding of the mobility industry and understand the system-dynamic interrelationships between actors in a competitive framework. They are able to independently analyze mobility markets and develop market designs, taking into account the respective political and European framework conditions.
