| State responsibility
| International protection of human rights
| Settlement of disputes by peaceful means
| International humanitarian law (the law of war)
Lernziele:
The students
| know the sources and general principles of International Law
| are able to apply them to actual cases
| know organization and structure of the UNO and can assess its activities
| know several instruments of the international protection of human rights (i.e.ACHR, ECHR, IPPCR) and can assess its meaning for the international community and the international legal order
| can discuss recent topics of International Law (i.e. Ukraine war, economic sanctions against Russia and Belarus, consequences of the middle east conflict, the failed-state complex) and
| assess to what extent International Law relates to the fields of international affairs, development policy and security issues
