Inhalte: The course builds on introductory statistics and empirical research methods and introduces students to concepts and techniques essential to the advanced analysis of large-N social science data. The goal of the course is to learn analytical and statistical skills to enable students to understand and confidently apply various quantitative methods such as multivariate regression analysis, generalized linear modelling and panel data analysis. By using available social science datasets and practical research exercises, students are provided with the necessary skillset that is increasingly required by employers on today’s job market. A previous introductory course to statistics or research design is advised. The course is open to students from all disciplines.
