Inhalte:
This course teaches basic and advanced quantitative methods in economics. Specific content relates to applied quantitative research in the areas of regression analysis and diagnostics (OLS), marginal effects, sampling and weighting, as well as selected test statistics (t-test, F-test).
Lernziele:
The students
| acquire basic and advanced knowledge of selected quantitative methods in economics;
| acquire basic knowledge in the use of statistical software;
| will be able to select and apply quantitative empirical methods on a case-specific basis and discuss them critically.

Modulbeschreibung:
The module is an applied empirical methods course that deals with selected steps of a quantitative research process. It begins with working with data that is necessary for the subsequent quantitative modeling step. Finally, the models are interpreted and critically examined.
