Inhalte: This course brings together two scholars from LEIZ with respective expertise in areas from organisational studies, organisational learning, management in Asian management-cultural management, etc.. For this fall semester we will also feature external lectures from invited leading scholars and practitioners in the field. "In the context of global value creation (GVC), governance includes the overarching principles, structures and decision making processes that guide the ‘‘checks and balances’’ in network functioning, so as to make sure that the interests of the entire network (and broader societal/environmental interests where relevant) are served above and beyond localized interests of participating firms and individual decision-makers within these firms.” (Kano et al. 2020, p.599).
Lernziele: Against the background of this definition, the "governance of value networks" will be approached from different perspectives in the course in order to provide an overview of what influences principles, structures and decision-making processes. In particular, the following main topics will be addressed:
