Course content:
The course deals with data collection and analysis. Therefore the statistical software "R" will be introduced.
The topics of Statistics will be repeated and additional concepts will be introduced and applied with R:
- data management (read and merge data, variable management)
- univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistics
- graphical presentation and analysis of results
- regression analysis and diagnostics (OLS)
- Interaction effects and non-linear relations
- logistic regression
- marginal effects
- two-stage least squares
- sampling and weighting
Educational objective:
The goal of the class is to deepen the knowledge of statistics and to apply it. The participants will learn how to use the statistical software "R" in order to be able to conduct their own research by applying statistical procedures.
