Course content:
The course in an introduction in all aspects of innovation and technology management. Each course day will deal with a different topic from innovation strategy to process and measurement to business modelling. Please look at the detailled course outline for further information and for the mandatory readings for each course.

Educational objective:
Learning goals of ITM

| Students have a deep understanding on the relevance of innovation within firms,

| know the basics about managing innovation and technology within corporations based on a systematic planning, implementation and controlling of innovation activities,

| understand and recognize different situations and environments regarding technology and innovation and are able to derive specific managerial implications, as well as

| are able to evaluate and use methods and tools of ITM purposefully.

To acquire this knowledge and skill set, each class is built upon

| Lecture and in-class exercise on/ discussions of theory, methods, and (case) examples

| Case study analysis and discussion

| Paper-based theses introduction and discussion/ resolution at the beginning and end of the case study presentation

| 50% theses and case study presentation
30 min, 15 slides max; theses presentation always related to the topic of the case study; one case per student; strong link to the theory of that days session!)
