Course content:
An exercise in the use of creative and documentary methods and approaches, such as photography, film and audio, as instruments of critical analysis
(Please note: course will be taught in English)
Educational objective:
This participatory course will focus on and use students’ own study and research interests (politics, economics, culture etc.) and develop appropriate creative/documentary analytical methodological competencies in relation to these using a variety of media (video, audio, photography)
- Learn critical analysis through practice: methodologies, approaches, techniques, strategies
- Learn how to approach ideas and contexts through media from a critical position
- Learn practical production techniques to support this through staging exercises
- Learn to use media creatively: to extend knowledge; as a research tool; to distribute ideas
