Course content:
The course offers an introduction to the theories, methods, and research questions of comparative politics and public policy analysis.
After a general introduction to the two perspectives, we will explore what Comparative Politics and Public Policy Analysis, respectively, can contribute to various topical areas such as:
capitalism and political economy,
institutions and institutional change,
migration and citizenship, and
policy, politics and the state.
Educational objective:
The purposes of this course are to provide students with an introductory treatment of the institutional context of public policy-making and analysis in the modern state and to engage them in discussion of the substantive topics around which the course is organized.
