Course content:
An exercise in the application of critical artistic methods and approaches as forms of knowledge using practice-led research methodologies.
Educational objective:
Participate in workshop and practice-led exercises and develop appropriate creative competencies using critical artistic methodologies
Learn analysis through practice: methodologies, approaches, techniques, strategies
Learn how to approach ideas and contexts from a critical artistic position
Learn practical techniques to support this through staging exercises
Learn to use creativity as a way to extend knowledge and distribute ideas
For example: explore and experiment in how to work with research material in creative ways beyond text. Work with research topics using practice-led methodologies, and in areas such as moving image, or performance, or documentary practice, or others. The material or topics selected will be used by students to determine how.
