Course content:
The course introduces methodological terms, research designs, sampling procedures and measurement. Qualitative interviews and surveys, observational studies and content analysis will be covered. Practical aspects as questionnaire design or problems of data collection like reactivity will be also addressed.
Additional tutorials for the course topics as well as for basic mathematics will be given.
Educational objective:
The goal of the course is to illustrate the research process starting with the theoretical foundations and the necessary planning steps as well as the data collection.
