Course content:
The course covers the basic theory of Corporate Finance with focus on:
- Importance of good governance and incentive systems,
- Theories of risk and return,
- Portfolio Theory and CAPM
- Theories regarding capital structure of a corporation, and
- Capital investment and financing decisions made by the financial managers.

Students are expected to be able to:
- Use various valuation methods depending on the context of the corporate decision, and
- Analyse investment projects and securities.
Competence:
Students are expected to recognize the consequences of various investment and financing decisions made by a firm.

Assignments during the semester will be allocated in the form of homeworks (exercises set) but are non-mandatory.
Examination 100%: Closed Book End Semester
Admitted Aids:
Simple pocket calculator is allowed in the examination. Closed Book Examination type. Formula sheet will be provided along with exam sheets
