Course content:
The course provides an introduction to statistics by using examples and exercises.
Topics covered:
- basic principles of probabilty theory
- descriptive and inference statistics
- univariate and bivariate statistics
- measures of association for variables with different scale levels
A tutorial for practicing will be given in addition to the course.
Educational objective:
Goal of the class is to provide an overview over descriptive and inductive statistics. Starting with univariate descriptions we will stepwise expand to bivariate analyses.
