Inhalte: ABOUT THE COURSE Nowadays the availability of goods and services in different forms and qualities at any place and time is taken for granted. To ensure this, however, substantial effort in managing a chain of actors, infrastructure and supplies is necessary. Thus, this course sets out to introduce students to basic logistical elements, the concept of supply chains and the resulting analysis and management of supply networks. Moreover, we will focus on specific issues of supply chain management, such as inter-organizational relationships, sustainability, or risk management, as well as specific industrial contexts, such as retailing or manufacturing. Interactive course participation is expected. Students are invited to select focus topics of personal interest for their term papers. Weitere Informationen zu den Prüfungsleistungen: The examination will consist of a term paper (60%) and its presentation (40%) in group work. Details on topic/ group selection, due dates, and further requirements regarding paper and presentation will be introduced in the first session.
