Inhalte: Diversity – a constant topic with no way out! How did it happen; how is it today, who is concerned (system & person), how to transform? | Content This interactive, self-reflective workshop is designed to familiarize students with key factors and dynamics of multinational organizations in today’s global world. In this course Diversity will not be mimimized to Culture only. We consider all Diversity differences such as Gender, Age, Disciplines etc. (based on "Four layers of diversity, Gardenswartz & Rowe 1995). Therefore this course is about how organisations and individuals construct differences: how do organisations handle them, how do I handle them? Because of the academic discoursive approach a constant presence of all is prefered. | Methodologies and tools This module introduces into diversity (management - really?) and globalization/global leadership with an interdisciplinary theoretical, practical and self-reflective approach. Historical development plus various theories based on system theory and individual concepts will be discussed. A strong focus is the student her/himself and her/his biography with diversity in her/his socialisation within various contexts (family, organisations, institutions etc.). We will apply various interactive learning methods, ranging from group discussions, to scientific work to practical offers as diversity diagnosis, changing perspectives, excercises etc.
