Inhalte: This course focuses on central concepts, methods and debates of contemporary comparative politics. It analyses the institutional configuration across political systems, the relations between state authorities and societies and pays special attention to the performance of political systems. Students are taught to analyze key debates in the field such as the determining factors of democratization, economic growth and ethnic/social conflicts.
