Inhalte: With the lecture series “Not Playing Around – The Business, Theory, Art & Culture of Gaming” we want to elucidate the rapidly growing market and associated, exciting fields of research in gaming. Topics such as game studies, form of narratives, considerations of the national and international market as well as sociological aspects will be examined. We strive for a comprehensive, interdisciplinary program to do justice to the broad spectrum of the medium. We want to address interested parties and shed light on the many different dimensions of the core topic of video gaming. The series will start with Assistant Professor Joost van Dreunen (NYU Stern School of Business) talking about the current international and national landscape of the Gaming Industries. The remaining topics of each individual date will be released as soon as they are confirmed. The language of the lecture series will be German or English, depending on the lecturer. About us: The ZU | Gaming Initiative is the place at Zeppelin University for anyone discussing or researching topics like Gaming, E-Sports, Gamification or Virtual Reality.
