Course content:
This test is intended for those students who need a language certificate to apply for a semester abroad but do not want to or cannot take a language course. The test takes about 3.5 hours and covers reading, writing, speaking and listening comprehension. If the test is passed successfully, a language certificate (B2 or C1 depending on the result) can be issued.
Students who are registered for the test after the elective period but do not attend will have a "fail" shown on their transcript.
A registration fee of 50 euros plus 7% VAT is charged for this test. This fee is also due if you are registered but do not take the test.
Considering that the language certificate obtained after a language test is only valid for 2 years and that a semester abroad at a partner university can be started in the 5th Bachelor semester at the earliest, it does not make sense to take the language test in the 1st or 2nd Bachelor semester.
